Our History

A quarter century in the service of the nation

From its founding at Mirpur to its recognition as an international academic partner, the College has grown alongside the profession it serves — one milestone at a time.

2000
Founded by Act of Parliament
Police Staff College Bangladesh is established at Mirpur, Dhaka as the apex training institution of Bangladesh Police.
2002
First command courses begin
The first cohorts of senior and mid-ranking officers enter structured command and management training.
2008
Research & Publication Branch
A dedicated research arm is created, laying the foundation for the PSC Journal and policy publications.
2013
MACPM launched
The Master of Applied Criminology and Police Management begins in academic partnership with the University of Dhaka.
2018
International partnerships expand
Exchange programs and joint certifications with partner academies and universities across four continents.
2024
Digital campus transformation
e-Learning platform, digital library and virtual simulation facilities modernise how officers learn.

Training Branch
Plans and delivers all command, management and specialised training courses — from curriculum delivery to joint exercises and simulations.

Curriculum and Evaluation Branch
Designs course curricula, sets assessment standards and evaluates training outcomes so every course meets international benchmarks.

Academic Branch
Runs the MACPM master’s program and academic partnerships, managing admissions, examinations and university affiliations.
